Summer School for Young Professionals

The main objective of this broader international project is to assist in professional development of young professionals, future experts and partially representatives of political parties in the field of international relations, security and foreign policy. Presentations and interactive discussions are realized by well-known experts from Slovakia, as well as international organisations. The Summer School is focusing on young professionals from V4 countries, Eastern Europe, Balkan countries and South Caucasus.

Slovak Strategic Forum

The Slovak Strategic Forum (SSF) is an exclusive round-table discussion of analytics, experts, academics, parliament representatives, government representatives.

The main goal of the project is to create conditions for open debate, expert-level evaluation, assessment and brainstorming, as well as to create new ideas associated with of Euro-Atlantic questions and Slovak security policy.
The Strategic Forum is organised twice a year.

Discussion Clubs

Discussion clubs are irregular and informal meetings “with biscuits and coffee,” with an invited speaker on a specific topic. As the name implies, clubs emphases is placed on discussion, so the role of speaker is mainly to introduce the topic, make a brief introduction and respond to questions from the audience. Clubs are organized by the CENAA in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) and are held approximately 3-5 times per semester at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica, and also at the Economic University in Bratislava.

Round Tables

CENAA in cooperation with Czech and German experts organized round table about cross-border cooperation of extremist groups as a security threat for Central Europe. In a group of 25 Central-European experts the main themes of discussion were financing, ideological and organizational cooperation as well as counter-extremist measures.
